For just two seasons now, I have secretly prayed that if my cherished Barcelona was going to sign one player then it should be the Arda Turan of Atletico Madrid.

As if, team president Josep Bartomeu listened as I prayed, in the end of last season he sanctioned a move for the highly gifted Turkish player who has had the Spanish Primera Liga charm bound for the last four seasons.

"He is a complete footballer, who will not only fit in nicely at our club but also has all it requires to conform to our playing doctrine and commendably does add a bit of steel to the team" Brazilian left back Dani Alves said of Turan's entrance at Camp Nou.

Turan hasn't spared his current club either as he had also tormented them over the years memorably lifting high against renowned Cales Puyol to score the only goal of the game which gifted Atletico their first La liga title in 23 years.

Not forgetting essential role played by the attacking midfielder in the Madrid based team astounding run to the UEFA Champions League final where they were edged in the passing by a Ronaldo inspired Real Madrid.

Last season proved to be a bitter sweet one for Turan, though he couldn't help Atletico maintain the wonder of the previous season, on a private level, was able to keep up the 'good work' which increased Barcelona's interest in the former Galatasaray star.

Were knocked out by Real Madrid in the Champions league quarter finals and slipped right up in the league by January which ended any hopes of keeping the title for his former team.

Despite being knocked out, Turan had one of his finest performances of the season against 'Real' in the UCL quarter final second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Rivals on the day, only got a foothold on the match after he was sent off in the 74th minute, before then, was a thorn in the flesh of Sergio Ramos (who was drafted in to play in midfield because of the absence of Luka Modric) and Portuguese defenseman Pepe at the back.

Though would not be able to play until January (when Barcelona's UEFA ban would expire) would still be able to keep astounding fitness by the high level training sessions at the Catalan giants with some tipping him for a short loan move to another team.

I've already got a Barcelona jersey with his name at the back because whatever happens, I believe come January, would have the ability to see this amazing player turn up for my beloved 'Barca', treble winners last season and hopefully will surpass that this period by additionally beating the FIFA World Club competition.

Soccer is one of the most popular sports, if not the most popular sport or hobby in the world. The soccer World Cup, which is the world soccer tournament that goes occurs every four years, gets more viewers than any other sporting event in the world. Soccer is such a big deal in some countries that it has caused political tensions between nations when their teams have played against each other in the World Cup. So why is soccer such a great hobby for everyone? For one thing, it does not require much equipment to play soccer, you just need a soccer ball to kick around and a couple friends, and some sort of goal that you can use to kick the ball into. The rules are rather simple and obvious, you just kick the soccer ball around and try to kick it into the other team's goal to score, and you can't touch the soccer ball with your hands.

Kicking a soccer ball around is something that can be addicting and you can spend hours and hours doing it without getting bored. You can do different tricks with your like dribbling and or seeing how many times you can kick the soccer ball without letting it hit the ground. You can practice tricks like the bicycle where you jump and kick it sideways or kick it in the air while falling onto your back. You can do that one trick where you roll the ball with one foot onto the back of your other leg and then use that other leg to kick it forward, from behind, over your head; that's one of my favorites. It makes people think I am a good soccer player when I do that one, even though I am not.

One nice thing about soccer or a soccer hobby is that it definitely keeps you in shape with all of that running you have to do, and you have to be in pretty good shape to do well at soccer. Playing soccer is not like a light jog where you can just take it easy the whole time. You are at a full, dead sprint over and over. It's fun too, so it doesn't feel like you are just working out, you are playing a game instead. The last soccer team I played on was an indoor soccer team. I thought I was in shape, but then I could only last for a couple minutes before I had to take a breather, each time I went in.

One of my earliest memories of playing soccer was when I was on a little league soccer team as a kid. I was playing defense and all I did was kick the ball as hard as I could to the other end of the field every time it came to me. I also remember afterwards, I ate a piece of chocolate candy with the wrapper still on it. I didn't swallow it, but it made me sick and had to quit dribbling my soccer ball on the way home from the soccer game, while I puked because the feeling in my mouth was so disgusting. I think my body was worked up from the sprinting in the soccer game as well and my stomach was tight. It still makes me sick to think about that experience all of these years later. But I sure had fun as a kid playing on my soccer team and had a lot of good experiences. I also still have a lot of good memories from my soccer days as a kid. It was fun being the center of attention as I kicked the ball around each time it came to me. I wasn't that good though, and I played defense, so I usually just gave the soccer ball a nice boot to the other side of the field each time it came to me.

There are a lot of drills you can do with a soccer balls, just on your own to become a better soccer player. You can just practice dribbling, as mentioned above, where you just kick the soccer ball back and forth between your legs as you run. Once you get good at dribbling the soccer ball, you can show it off when you play games, but dribbling the soccer ball and cutting past people. Or, you can practice kicking and aiming the soccer ball at a certain point on a wall or practice kicking it into the goal or passing with the side of you foot, so you can get your aim better and score more goals when you play. You can dribble the soccer ball with your feet while weaving through cones. You can practice heading the soccer ball and aiming with your head. For some reason soccer player's favorite thing to do is hit the soccer ball with their heads.

Soccer has been the sports lifeline of many countries including the United States. The love of the game is so intrinsic that parents provide soccer equipment and soccer gear to their kids at a very tender age. Guided by such soccer parents, some children are given a soccer ball as soon as they learn to walk, some even earlier. In some cases, this is the first exposure kids have to the game of soccer.

However, for the right grooming to play professional soccer, it is imperative that soccer coaching be provided at a young age. A youngster with the right soccer training can be groomed to be a quality player and more importantly a better student of the game. It is all about learning the tactics of the game where you learn not only the skills of how to make a great pass, score an incredible goal, dribble by someone with ease; but also to develop strategies to win which is the ultimate aim.

Soccer enthusiasts however, stress on that aspect of soccer coaching, that the ultimate goal of the players in the learning period is not to focus on match results but to work towards creating a level of confidence and comfort with the ball. It is imperative that a youth soccer player loves the game and works on improving skills with regular soccer drills.

Soccer drills are excellent training modules which playing width, defending and tackling, attacking and shooting, goalkeeping, heading, aggression (physical contact), transition and small-sided games. Soccer coaching can be influential in molding youth soccer to the pinnacle of glory.

Experts of the game agree that it is essential to be able to finish off an attacking movement. Many soccer coaches are found to overlook this important aspect of the game and as a result finishing technique suffers. As a result, many players even after having completed the soccer training sessions are found to have never learned to finish off attacking movements, leading to failed opportunities and disappointment.

An insightful soccer coach teaches the finer nuances or the accuracy in the finishing technique. This accuracy is adjudged to be more responsible in deciding the outcome of a match than the power to hit hard. Good soccer coaching always incorporates the art of finishing in the soccer drills.

At the same time it is also essential that soccer parents impart ethical values in their kids without being intrusive enough as not to over-shadow the influences and training offered during soccer drills. To summarize, soccer coaching is all about grooming the future soccer superstars.

The problem for most people is that they do not know where to start. If you are a new parent or a new soccer coach it is difficult to find everything you need to know in the one place.
